Interstuhl - with a pioneering spirit to success
Wilhelm Link, together with his son Werner, reorganised his farriery business founded in Tieringen in 1930 due to the decline in horse husbandry after the end of the Second World War: Due to a shortage of comfortable seating for seamstresses in the textile industry, the duo invented suitable chairs for the workers in 1961 and began manufacturing industrial work chairs. The Interstuhl brand was launched in 1967. The company, which is still family-run today, is now one of the leading suppliers of industrial and office chairs and still traditionally produces in Germany. Using state-of-the-art technology and always with an awareness of sustainability, excellent design products with the highest quality standards are created here.
Material and format
The Silver 191S conference chair can be ordered with a dynamic backrest in different heights. Its aluminium metal parts are coated in white-silver and brushed. It is optionally available with a four-star base and soft plastic glides or on castors with a 5-star base. The 191S is 58 cm wide and 72 cm deep. Its seat height is 41 - 51 cm and it is available in many different fabrics and colours.
