Today known worldwide as a symbol of the Bauhaus, the KAISER idell™ lamps were introduced to the public in 1931. The lamps are known for their versatile and minimalist designs, which are still absolutely modern today.
Designer Christian Dell
Christian Dell was born in Offenbach am Main. He completed an apprenticeship as a silversmith in Hanau from 1907 to 1911 and also attended the drawing academy there. From 1922 to 1925 he worked as a master craftsman in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar. In 1926, he then took over the management of the metal workshop at the Frankfurt Art School. His design style is considered to be extremely innovative for the time and set the trend for the development of design.
