About A Chair Collection

Conscious and simple - the chairs from the About A Chair Collection by Hay follow simple and plain lines, so they can be easily combined with other furnishings. They complement a wide variety of styles perfectly and can therefore also be used perfectly in the contract sector. Their simple appearance provides a special multifunctionality and combinability.

The collection includes AAC in different variations - wooden and metal frames and non-upholstered and upholstered seat shells. Each variant evidences a restrained elegance that discreetly enhances any space.

Designer Hee Welling

Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and earned his master's degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2003, he established his own studio in Copenhagen and has since designed furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial designs. Welling has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs have been used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and Amazon's headquarters.

As the son of a carpenter, he has a pronounced fascination for production techniques and materials. It is therefore not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products that are nevertheless accessible to the masses.

Material and format

The design chair consists of a walnut veneer frame and a seat shell in dyed-through polypropylene - available in various color finishes. It is 59 cm wide, 52 cm deep, 79 cm high and has a seat height of 46 cm.
