Like the other members of the About A Stool family , the AAS 38 is particularly changeable and available in a variety of frames and colours. The rounded metal frame has a strong visual presence with its industrial design and is perfectly matched to the curved backrest.
About A Stool Collection
Simple elegance - the stools from the About A Stool Collection by Hay follow a simple and plain line management, so that they can be combined with other furnishing objects uncomplicatedly. They complement different styles excellently and can therefore also be used perfectly in the contract sector. Designer Hee Welling conceived the series with the aim of making the chairs usable in restaurants, canteens, in the office or at the dining table at home. Their simple appearance ensures a special multifunctionality and combinability.
Designer Hee Welling
The Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and did his Master's degree in furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. in 2003, he founded his own studio in Copenhagen and has since designed furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial designs. Welling has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs have been used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and Amazon's headquarters.
As the son of a carpenter, he has a great fascination for production techniques and materials. So it is not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products that are nevertheless accessible to the masses.
Material and format
The AAS 38 bar stool consists of a metal frame and a polypropylene seat shell, which are available in different colours. It is 47 cm wide, 45 or 46 cm deep and 76 or 85 cm high.
