Strikingly simple: AAS32 Barstool High by Hay
Bar stools have their very own charm due to the elevated seating at a counter or a high table. They can serve for a quick lunch or a long evening at the bar and should therefore be as comfortable as they are stable.
Simple aesthetics
Form, function, comfort, aesthetics and detail - the tall AAS32 bar stool by High combines all of these. The long, elegant wooden legs, together with the well-formed seat shell, create a visual presence without drawing too much attention to themselves.
The bar stool looks good in public environments, at professional meetings or private meals. It extends the family of the About a Stool series with another member that perfectly fits the theme of simplicity.
It was designed by Hee Welling, who tried to develop a chair of striking simplicity. The Danish furniture designer founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. His design ethos is based on the idea of reaching a broad audience with his designs and creating technically sophisticated products. For Hay, he has also designed the Hee Chair and the Lounge Chair, among others.
Material and format
The AAS32 consists of a seat shell made of polypropylene and a frame made of oak wood. It is 50 cm wide, 85 cm high and 43 cm deep. The seat height is 74 cm.
The seat is available in many different colours, so there is something for every taste and every interior!
Note: Please note that the colour "white" is the same as the old colour. If you already have bar chairs in white, you must purchase this version to match the colour of your existing models. The new White 2.0 (summer 2023) differs slightly in colour from the previous shade.
