Perfect for its purpose: the AC 5 Studio swivel chair is equipped with a rocking mechanism and height adjustment. This makes it ideal for use at workplaces where the changing users only spend a short time at the workstations.
The bent backrest is not only a characteristic, but also a functional element whose flexible construction provides a lot of freedom of movement.
Antonio Citterio - Designer
Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, such as B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.
Material and size
The studio chair has a tilt mechanism that can be locked in the upright sitting position. The cantilever back construction consists of a polyurethane foam upholstery and a die-cast aluminium frame. The cover is available in fabric or leather. The five-star base is made of die-cast aluminium and has double castors in black.
Available with height-adjustable armrests or with FreeFloat armrests with polyurethane padding in basic dark. The innovative FreeFloat armrests perfectly complement the ergonomic functions of the swivel chair. The innovative adjustment technology ensures that the backrests can be quickly and easily adjusted to different needs. By means of a button you can push the support pad in a flowing movement in different directions - no matter whether in front, behind or to the side.
