Hard-working helper: AJ Trolley side table by Fritz Hansen
Designed for afternoon tea - Arne Jacobsen had this purpose in mind when designing the AJ Trolley side table by Fritz Hansen. The possible uses are almost limitless: Bar trolley, serving trolley, side table or as a presentation space for colourful flowers. The mobile design is versatile and follows a sophisticated, architectural look in its form.
Designer Arne Jacobsen
Already in 1934 Arne Jacobsen worked together with Fritz Hansen. But it was not until 1952 that he made his breakthrough with "the ant", which was followed by the well-known and popular Series 7 in 1955. Arne Jacobsen was extremely productive both as a designer and as an architect. He designed the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen at the end of the 1950s and developed the Egg, the Swan and the Series 3300 for this project.
Material and format
The trolley is made of MDF ash veneer and stainless steel. It is 67 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 54.7 cm high.
