Refined: Ayno L wall lamp by Midgard
Ayno - this is the latest luminaire family by Midgard and the first design since the 1950s. The design luminaire spans the arc between the origin and the present of directable light. This is evident both technically and in its form. At the centre of the design is a fibreglass rod that is stretched into an arc by the luminaire cable. This tensioning enables a luminaire without joints that can be adjusted to the desired position by moving the adjustment rings on the wall bracket and head. A swivelling lampshade is also used for fine adjustment of the light.
Midgard - 100 years of steerable light
midgard Licht GmbH was founded in 1919 as a spin-off of the Auma Ronneberger und Fischer industrial plant and is the owner of the oldest patent for steerable light. Its founder Curt Fischer is even considered the inventor of steerable light. His luminaires were used in the metal workshops of the Dessau Bauhaus, among others. The products are manufactured and assembled in Hamburg Altona, making Midgard luminaires genuine Made-in-Germany goods. They are ENEC and VDE certified.
