Bows its head: Balancer floor lamp by Northern. Instead of an open lampshade, which is often used for floor lamps, the Balancer lamps scores with a closed sphere. The lampshade is also pivotable, so you have the choice between direct and atmospheric light.
The icing on the cake: the filigree metal bow, which is located on the side. Stability is ensured by the heavy cylinder base. The matte black colour gives the designer lamp a cool Scandi chic.
Design
Yuue is a Berlin design studio. Behind Yuue is designer Weng Xinyu, who comes from the Chinese Taizhou. From China to Germany: Following his German studies in Beijing, he studied product design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. In 2015, Weng Xinyu founded Yuue together with Tao Haiyue. By the way, Xinyu is not the typical drawing block sketcher, he also uses modern techniques like CAD with devotion.
Material and size
Both the foot and the frame are made of powder-coated steel. The shade consists of hand-blown glass and steel. The Northern floor lamp is 170 cm high and 81 cm wide. The diameter of the lampshade is 15 cm. The base is 32.5 cm high and 13 cm wide.
