Simple stripes: Mazandaran kilim rug from Ethnicraft
The Mazandaran kilim rug in the main colour blue is one of seven designs in the new Kilim Rugs collection. This includes patterned and plain-coloured styles, some of which pick up on features from nature. Elegant simplicity, warmth and comfort clearly take centre stage here.
The designer rug impresses with its special, unique character. The yarns used in combination with sheep's wool create great textures. The striped pattern is inspired by the traditional carpets of the Mazandaran province in northern Iran. The Mazandaran kilim therefore complements the plain-coloured Nomad kilim rugs from the collection wonderfully!
The authentic design blends harmoniously into almost any living space and can be perfectly combined with existing furnishings. Specially designed for Ethnicraft, the rug goes particularly well with various pieces of furniture from the renowned manufacturer, which also focuses on craftsmanship and natural materials in its pieces.
Ashtari x Ethnicraft - Kilim Rugs Collection
Imperfectly perfect, unique and unpredictable. These are the rugs in the Kilim Rugs collection, which was designed in collaboration with the Belgian family business Ashtari Carpets.
All rugs are handmade in Pakistan by skilled artisans with knowledge and traditional techniques dating back more than 150 years. Each rug carries its own story with reference to the past of traditional craftsmanship and creates a connection to the present with timeless colours and patterns.
Each yarn is handmade on a traditional loom and carefully selected to ensure that the individual finish and natural texture of each item is maximised. The durable, hand-spun and locally sourced wool contributes to the surprising nuances and colour variations of the rugs. These irregularities are created by the natural wool pigment that wraps beautifully around the yarn, creating truly unique rugs that are suitable for any room in your home.

Material and format
The rug is made of 100% wool and is available in various formats. You can order the Mazandaran kilim in the sizes 170x240, 200x300 and 250x350. The natural oil content of the 100% sheep's wool yarn ensures a warm and durable floor covering.
