The cover plates are the ideal accessories for your Boby roll container. You receive three different sized plates, which fit exactly into the upper compartments. The oak wood offers an interesting contrast to the plastic.
The design
You can see that the Boby roll container is a child of the seventies (Boby was designed in 1970). The basic material is plastic and the designers at that time elevated plastic to the new trend material for furniture. The Boby roll container was created by a design legend: Joe Colombo. Boby won a prize, the SMAU Award, immediately after its release. Boby is also part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
Material and Format
The B-Line cover plate is made of oak multilayer wood. The largest plate measures 29.9 x 26.6 cm, the second cover plate measures 39.4 x 9.9 cm and the third cover plate measures 10.8 x 29.1 cm. The thickness is the same for all three plates with 1.2 cm.
