Special edition: Boby in WHALE mobile pedestal from B-Line
The limited Boby collection appears in a new look in 2023 . Inspired by a maritime shade of blue, the Boby mobile pedestal has been reissued in the new Whale colour. A special feature is also the unmistakable screen print "b-line boby special edition whale" on one of the Boby's shelf walls. The design classic has been delighting people all over the world for over 50 years, because the mobile container is perfect for storing small items, important treasures and more. Whether in the kitchen, in the bathroom or in the workshop - the functional mobile container is suitable for every use.
The design
You can see that the mobile pedestal is a child of the seventies (Boby was designed in 1970). The basic material is plastic and the designers at the time elevated plastic to the new trend material for furniture. The Boby mobile pedestal was designed by a design legend : Joe Colombo. Boby won an award immediately after its appearance, the SMAUAward. Furthermore, Boby is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
Material and format
As already mentioned, the Boby mobile pedestals by B-Line are made of plastic, more precisely of injection-moulded ABS plastic. The frame made of ABS plastic consists of modules with pull-out compartments and shelves. Five castors are mounted underneath the mobile pedestal.
The special edition is available in various dimensions:
