With DETOUR, the design duo GamFratesi has created a particularly beautiful coffee table. The name means "fork in the road" and indeed, on the legs above the precious brass tips, one discovers a line that is reminiscent of such a fork in the road. The wooden tops are concealed by two Viennese straw bowls, which exudes light-heartedness and naturalness. Make this stylish, elegant coffee table the new centrepiece of your living room!
GTV Design - Michael Thonet's Legacy
The traditional company Gebrüder Thonet Vienna goes back to the German-Austrian master carpenter Michael Thonet, one of the most famous furniture manufacturers of the industrial age. The legendary bentwood furniture with its elements of Viennese wickerwork have become timeless bestsellers and still ensure that the manufacturer enjoys great international renown today. The iconic N. 14 chair was built more than 50 million times between 1850 and 1930, making it one of the most famous, best-selling pieces of furniture in the world to this day.
Material and format
The large coffee table consists of a beech bentwood frame with brass feet, tops made of open-pored, lacquered ash veneer and inserted Viennese wickerwork.
It is 120 cm wide, 114 cm deep and 40 cm high.
