Limited Edition: Eames Elephant Stool in Dark Green by Vitra
In 1945, the design couple Ray and Charles Eames developed a toy elephant made of plywood, which did not go into serial production at the time. It was exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art and is now in the possession of the Eames family archive. Since 2018, it has been produced in series by Vitra in its wooden version.
Now in a very special colour: For the Eames Special Collection 2023, the world-famous classic is now available in a dark green shade. The collection is limited until 31.01.24.
Charles and Ray Eames - design duo
The Eames couple is one of the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, the two also made films, took photographs and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only legitimate manufacturer of the Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.
Material and format
The Elephant is made of moulded plywood with a green-stained ash veneer. It is 41 cm wide, 78.5 cm deep and 41.5 cm high.
