The Egg Chair by Fritz Hansen has become a true classic of Danish design craftsmanship not only because of its catchy and unusual shape. The shapely design chair is considered one of the highlights in the career of designer Arne Jacobsen.
Material and format
The armchair has a frame made of satin-brushed aluminium. It is covered with Re-Wool fabric. Made from 45% recycled wool, Re wool is an expressive upholstery fabric with a sustainable profile. The fabric is partly produced by reusing waste from Kvadrat's yarn spinning mills in the UK. The design is by Margrethe Odgaard.
