Traditional pendant lamps reinterpreted - that was the aim behind the design of the Grain Pendant Lamp by Muuto. The shape is kept simple and elegant. Small fibre grains on the surface of the lamp create a special texture and are the eponym for the appealing design.
Designer Jens Fager
Jens Fager is one of the up-and-coming Swedish designers. A graduate of Konstfack University in Stockholm, he has made an international impact with exhibitions in London, Milan and Stockholm. At the core of his design philosophy is honesty to define the true function of each product and design. He also aims to incorporate humour, surrealism and poetry into his work so that the end result is a product that helps the user move forward.
Material and format
The lampshade is made of a mixture of bamboo fibres and polypropoles. The lamp has a PVC cable. It is 18.5 cm high and has a diameter of 21 cm.
