Classic made of wood: Hal Ply Tube chair by Vitra
Part of a large family of chairs - the Hal Tube by Vitra is the stackable version of the series and perfectly complements it with a simple and flexible chair that can be stacked and easily stored.
A comfortable seat shell made of wood and a classic four-legged base give the Hal Tube chair its classic expression. This model captivates in any case with its clear lines and its reduced appearance.
The Hal Chair Collection
Unusual designs can be combined less well with existing furnishings than plain and simple designs. This is also how Jasper Morrisons sees it and has designed a collection with the Hal chairs, which is characterised by clear and contemporary shapes and multifunctional seat shells. The Hal collection is composed of 15 different bases and various seat shells made of plywood or with a lightly upholstered leather cover. In addition, some chairs are available with a seat cover in different fabric colours.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work himself as "super normal" - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on the reinterpretation of the tried and tested and the further development of familiar solutions. He has been working with Vitra since 1989.
Material and format
The Hal Tube chair consists of a seat shell made of plywood from the USA. The base is available in chrome-plated or powder-coated versions in ivory or basic dark. The chair is 47 cm wide, 48.5 cm deep and 79.5 cm high. The seat height is 44.5 cm.
