Exceptional: HAL RE Armchair Studio swivel chair from Vitra
The striking shape of the seat shell ensures a high recognition value - the HAL RE Armchair in the Studio swivel chair version is a particularly comfortable office chair with its integrated armrests. It is a particularly good choice for the home office, as it perfectly combines function and aesthetics.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work as "super normal " - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on reinterpreting the tried and tested and further developing familiar solutions.
Morrison has thus raised his HAL collection to a contemporary level with the new RE versions. Recycled plastic from household waste is now used for the seat shells.
Environmentally conscious design for the future: the new RE
collection
From January 2024, Vitra will focus on sustainability by producing all seat shells for the Eames Plastic Chairs from recycled post-consumer plastic . The seat shells will have minimal glass fibre reinforcement for stability and quality, with the glass fibre content of an Eames Plastic Chair RE seat shell being 10%. The use of recycled packaging waste gives the seat shells minimal colour pigmentation.
Material and format
The seat shell of the swivel chair is made of recycled, solid-coloured polypropylene and has integrated armrests. The base is a 5-star base made of powder-coated die-cast aluminium in the colour basic dark.
The chair is swivelling and height-adjustable. It is equipped with comfort depth suspension.
