The designer chairs of the same name are the result of the following considerations by designer Hee Welling: Seating should be created that works according to the motto "form follows function". For this, an archetypal chair design was consulted, reduced to the essentials and at the same time improved its functionality.
The design feature par excellence are the steel struts, which give the Hee Dining Chair an airy look.
Material choice and processing
When it comes to material, Hay resorts to galvanized and powder-coated steel. As a result, the Hee Dining Chair can even be used as an outdoor chair.
The fact that the chair is made of a single material has another reason: to avoid unnecessary and environmentally harmful transport routes. It also simplifies the recycling process. As you can see, the Hee Dining Chair is a very sophisticated chair design that, incidentally, can be found even in the Australian Parliament and the Oslo Opera House.
