This special lamp brings a smile to everyone's face, because with its big round ears it reminds of the popular Disney character Micky Mouse. It was designed as part of a group of small light objects by Ingo Maurer, who first presented it in 2014.
Except for the small "cap", the lamp is kept rather simple with a simple wire socket. The beginning of the Ingo Maurer success story is also marked by a simple light bulb - the Bulb table lamp. For him, the light bulb is the "ideal symbiosis of poetry and technology".
The design is cheerful and unusual and looks more like an art object than a lamp. This applies to almost all of Ingo Maurer's models. The qualified graphic designer wants to represent the lightness of being with his designs.
Processing
The lamp is made of steel, a cap of varnished brass and a low-voltage halogen bulb. The special halogen 35 W lamp was produced exclusively for Ingo Maurer GmbH.
