Sancal sees itself as a multidisciplinary team of creative minds - with the Rift cushions, the manufacturer has conquered a new field, textile design.
Rift was designed exclusively for Sancal and describes the structured design pattern that adorns the cushions. Like cracks that open up in parched earth or how they decorate clay that has been fired for too long - the so-called fracture surface effect was visually reproduced and is intended to remind us of a rough and barren landscape. To compensate for this negative association, Sancal uses a particularly soft fabric in many vibrant colours for the cushions.
