Design highlight: All Plastic Chair from Vitra
Shaped like a classic Scandinavian wooden chair, the All Plastic Chair from Vitra surprises with its plastic finish. A positive side effect: the chair designed by Jasper Morrison can also be used outdoors.
Another special design feature is the colour scheme: in all colour versions, the frame is a slightly darker shade than the seat and backrest. This two-tone colour combination from Vitra makes the designer chair unmistakable.
Jasper Morrison has equipped the chair with a very special suspension mechanism. There is an axle fitted with a rubber buffer between the frame and the backrest. When you lean back in the All Plastic Chair, it follows your movements naturally.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work as "super normal " - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on reinterpreting the tried and tested and further developing familiar solutions. He has been working with Vitra since 1989.
Material and format
The All Plastic Chair is made entirely of solid-coloured polypropylene. It is therefore suitable for outdoor use.
The chair is supplied with felt glides.
