Comfort 2.0: Can armchair by Hay
Elegant, comfortable and practical - the Can series impresses with its modern look, which is characterised by a casual simplicity. The slender frame of powder-coated steel is made more homely by the outer canvas cover, creating a great contrast between the natural material and the industrially manufactured steel.
The armchair is packed flat and can be easily assembled from three basic elements.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
The Bouroullec design duo consists of the brothers Ronan and Erwan, who were born in Quimper, France. Since 1999, the two have been running their design studio in the Belleville quarter of Paris as equal partners. From small utility items to large architectural projects - their field of activity is extremely diverse.
Material and size
The frame of the Cane chair is made of black powder-coated steel. The frame is also available in a chrome-plated version on request. The armchair is upholstered and covered with Hay Surface 120 (90% pure new wool, 10% nylon). On the outside, the frame is covered with canvas, where you can choose between the colours black and natural. It is 97 cm wide, 89 cm deep and 82 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
