The design
You can see that the mobile pedestal is a child of the seventies (Boby was designed in 1970 ). The basic material is plastic and the designers at that time made plastic the new trend material for furniture. The Boby mobile pedestal was designed by a design legend: Joe Colombo. Boby won an award immediately after its appearance, the SMAU Award. Furthermore, Boby is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
Material and format
As already mentioned, the Boby mobile pedestals by B-Line are made of plastic, more precisely of injection-moulded ABS plastic. The frame made of ABS plastic consists of modules with pull-out compartments and shelves. Rods, screws and pins are made of galvanised steel. There are five castors underneath the trolley.
