Lumina: designer lighting from Italy
The Italian Tommaso Cimini made design history with his Daphine table lamp, designed in 1975: Designers, architects and, of course, design fans all over the world appreciate and celebrate the icon of Italian lighting design. in 1980, Cimini founded his company Lumina, which is still a bright star in the design firmament today. Production has remained at the same location in Italy for 40 years, which is a guarantee for the sustainability and quality of the designer luminaires. Then as now, according to company boss Ettore Crimini, every lamp produced is taken home and tested there under everyday conditions. Lumino's credo stems precisely from this: it is the function that creates the form. Linear, essential, iconic: these are Lumina lamps. They are constantly evolving by utilising the latest production techniques.
