Jean Prouvé - French design
Throughout his life, Jean Prouvé described himself as a constructor because he was both designer and producer of his designs. From letter openers to lamps and furniture to prefabricated houses - the work of the French designer is particularly extensive and includes just about everything that can be constructed and industrially produced.
Material and size
The seat and back of the chair are made of polyurethane filling with fabric or leather upholstery. The armrests are made of solid wood, available in natural oak, smoked oak or American walnut. The wood comes from Western Europe and Poland in the case of oak and from the USA in the case of walnut. Twill is made of 70% virgin wool and 30% polyamide.
The Fauteuil Direction armchair is 65 cm wide, 62.5 cm deep and 81.5 cm high. The seat height is 50.5 cm.
