Curved steel: Arcs Switch wall lamp by Hay
The Arcs wall lamp is part of a series of arched lamps, which were designed by the Belgian duo Muller Van Severen exclusively for Hay. For the design, solid steel was beautifully staged. Thus, Arcs captivates with simple, elementary shapes and intensive colours, which let the robust main material appear in a completely different light.
With its curved silhouette and the light directed upwards and downwards, Arcs creates a soft glow that plays with shapes and shadows. Bring colour into your living and office spaces and create a modern and aesthetic ambience. Or opt for the version with a mirror surface, which reflects the natural light and makes your rooms appear larger.
Design and art combined
Muller Van Severen was founded in 2011 by the Belgian artist duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen. The pair have always been on an inspired quest to create sculpturally interesting furniture and lighting objects. Their work moves somewhere between design and art and is characterised by a passion for architecture as well as an appreciation of colours and materials. The designer duo has already won countless awards and collaborated with renowned international museums and galleries.
Hay - timeless design from Denmark
Founded in 2002, the Danish manufacturer Hay pursues the goal of creating furniture, lamps and home accessories that meet the needs of modern life and are accessible to as large an audience as possible. In doing so, they like to reinterpret Danish furniture classics of the 50s and 60s.
Inspired by the stable structures of architecture and the dynamic turns of fashion, Hay combines the values of both industries and creates durable and timeless quality products that combine functionality and elegance.
