Within the Kaiser Idell collection by Christian Dell, Fritz Hansen has now added an extendable wall lamp to the programme: the 6718 scissor lamp! This luminaire embodies Bauhaus design in its purest form and is modelled on the industrial scissor luminaire.
Like all Kaiser-Idell luminaires, you can also order the 6718 scissor light in various colours - each one a unique classic with its own charm.
Designer Christian Dell
Christian Dell was born in Offenbach am Main. He completed an apprenticeship as a silversmith in Hanau from 1907 to 1911 and also attended the drawing academy there. From 1922 to 1925, he worked as a foreman in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar. in 1926, he then took over the management of the metal workshop at the Frankfurt Art School. His design style is considered to be extremely innovative for the time and was trend-setting for the development of design.
