Sheru chair with castors Walter Knoll
Your advantages with einrichten design
personal, individual, passionately
New technology: Sheru chair with castors Walter Knoll
Sheru stands for shell in Japanese. And this is exactly what the design by Studio EOOS focuses on. It was designed to be light and airy, making it barely thicker than a yoga mat. However, this does not detract from the seating comfort. Quite the opposite, as the Sheru utilises the innovative chAIR technology. The backrest and seat have concealed openings that allow cool air to circulate freely around the body, making the chair pleasantly breathable. Integrated straps in the shape of palm leaves create a pleasantly springy, new kind of sitting sensation. This ergonomic reinterpretation ensures maximum comfort! The elegant, minimalist design with its flowing shapes and soft edges is suitable for a wide variety of living and working spaces.
Promotion: When you buy 6 chairs from the Sheru range, you will receive the 6th chair for free until 31 December 2024. Add 6 chairs of the above models to your shopping basket and receive the cheapest one free of charge.
Walter Knoll - furniture with a history
The company's history has its origins in a "leather shop" in Stuttgart, which was opened in 1865 by the forefather of the Knoll dynasty, Wilhelm Knoll. In the same year, the seating furniture manufacturer demonstrated his craftsmanship as purveyor to the court of the King of Württemberg. 42 years pass before son Walter takes over the company together with his brother Willy. In the meantime, branches were opened in the metropolises of St. Petersburg and Vienna. To set himself apart from the design of his father's company, Walter Knoll founded his own upholstered furniture factory in 1925, which has borne his name ever since. In addition to leather, coloured fabrics were now also used as upholstery materials. In the 1920s, the invention of the anti-mott spring and the Prodomo system revolutionised the traditional upholstered furniture trade. The furniture of the Prodomo system in particular, with its curved tubular steel frames, pointed the way to modernity. Walter Knoll has been expanding steadily since 2001, and the company has opened showrooms in Berlin, Hamburg, London, Paris, Stockholm, Beijing, Mumbai and Adelaide (Australia) in the last 10 years.
