For a new kind of sitting feeling - the ID Cloud combines an ergonomically shaped seat shell with a breathable membrane to ensure that every movement of the user is absorbed fluidly. This creates an incomparable seating feeling and great freedom of movement.

Antonio Citterio - Designer

Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked together with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, e.g. B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.

Material and format

Mechanics: with FlowMotion mechanism, lockable in the upright sitting position. Mechanism according to frame colour basic dark or soft grey. Optionally with or without synchronous forward tilt (can be switched off) and with or without seat depth adjustment. Individual adjustment of backrest counterforce and forward tilt.
Backrest: height-adjustable backrest in 3-part construction: back support in polyamide, membrane in TPE and knitted cover. Backrest binding in basic dark or soft grey.
Armrests: with 2D armrests adjustable in height and width or with 3D armrests adjustable in height, width and depth and rotatable through 360°. Armrest support in polished aluminium or powder-coated basic dark or soft grey aluminium (corresponding to frame colour). Armrest sleeve made of polyamide in basic dark or soft grey to match frame colour. With polyurethane foam-free (F) pad in basic dark (for frame colour basic dark) or dimgrey (for frame colour soft grey). Optionally also ring armrests for the conference area in polished or coated die-cast aluminium basic dark or soft grey (corresponding to frame colour).
Seat: seat cushion in polyurethane foam. Optionally with contour seat or polyurethane foam-free moulded seat (F). Seat cover in fabric or in 3D spacer fabric.
Base: five-star base in polyamide in basic dark or die-cast aluminium, polished or powder-coated basic dark or soft grey (corresponding to frame colour), with double castors (Ø 60 mm) or glides.
