The Fritz Hansen easy chair Swan as well as the Egg by Arne Jacobsen was designed in
1958 for the entrance area of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.
This was Jacobsens chance. Now he was able to put his theories into practice.
The order was to design the hotel builduing and the interior in every detail.
A plastic shell on an aluminium swivel base, padded with cold foam. Upholstery in fabric or leather.

The Swan can be ordered in many different fabric and leather qualities and colours

Following fabric and leather upholstery can be ordered:
Fame: 95 % wool , 5 % polyamide
Tonus: 90 % worsted wool, 10 % Helanca
Hallingdal: 70 % pure wool, 30 % viscose
Divina / Divina Melange: 100 % pure wool
Christianshavn: 85 % wools of New Sealand, 15 % polyamide
Rime: 90% new wool (combed), 10% nylon
Fjord: 92% new wool (combed), 8% nylon
Steelcut Trio: 90% new wool (combed), 10% nylon
shell and frame:
The plastic shell is padded with cold foam resting on an aluminum foot
with satin polished pipe. The Swan can also be ordered with a seating height of 48 cm.
The basic height is 40 cm.
The armchair by Arne Jacobsen is for the home but also ideal for lounge and waitng areas.
