New Generation: Ace Lounge Armchair Oak by Normann Copenhagen
His own life in Copenhagen inspired the designer Hans Hornemann to create his Ace series. Living in the city centre with limited space and yet the desire for quality and aesthetics were the focus of the design.
Hornemann has combined the basic components of a chair into a design that is both functional and aesthetic. The stature of the Ace Lounge Chair is smaller than that of conventional lounge furniture. The lounge chair creates a pleasant ambience and its rounded contours emphasise the volume of the comfortable upholstery. This creates an armchair that not only looks good but also offers enough seating comfort.
Designer Hans Hornemann
Hans Hornemann studied industrial design at the Aalborg University. His designs show a combination of simple aesthetics with high functionality. Hornemann is particularly interested in technical solutions that are integrated into the design. His source of inspiration are natural materials, which is why he tries to reduce his designs to the necessary. For Hornemann, design is balanced with aesthetic minimalism and user-friendly functionality.
Material and format
The legs of the Ace Lounge Chair are made of oak. The shell is veneer with steel reinforcements and an upholstery of PU foam. It is 56 cm wide, 70 cm deep and 80 cm high. The seat height is 41 cm
