Off to the bar: NY11 Bar Chair Bar stool by NORR11
A handcrafted frame of solid oak, a seat of laminated oak veneer and, if you are interested, upholstered with high quality leather - the NY11 Bar Chair Barstool is extremely elegant and classic.
The series was inspired by traditional Danish school chairs designed during the 20th century. Whether privately at your own kitchen counter or in the bar or restaurant - the NY11 always cuts a fine figure.
Design team Krøjgaard + Humlevik
Rune Krøjgaard graduated in design and industrial design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. His designs are characterised by a high understanding of materials and their properties as well as the shapes and dimensions of a body. His Nordic roots and the connection to classical Scandinavian traditions are also evident in his work. He has been working closely with the Norwegian designer Knut Bendik Humlevik since 2007. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture in Copenhagen. Humlevik's interest in the totality and dynamics of designs and creations is great. Together the two designers create products that are characterised by functionality and purity of style. Keywords of their collaboration are simplicity, aesthetics and comfort.
NORR11 - Scandinavian design
The Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design and thus create timeless pieces of furniture that combine present and past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. The result is products of outstanding craftsmanship and quality.
Material and format
The chair is 40 cm wide, 35 cm deep and 65/75 cm high. It is made of oak wood, which is available in different versions. The seat can also be covered with leather.
