With wood: Hal Soft Tube Stackable Chair Vitra
A comfortable plastic seat shell with upholstery and a classic metal four-legged base give the Hal chair its classic expression. This model captivates in any case with its clear lines and reduced appearance. It is also stackable.
The Hal Chair Collection
Unusual designs are less easy to combine with existing furnishings than plain and simple designs. This is also how Jasper Morrisons sees it and has designed a collection with the Hal chairs, which is characterised by clear and contemporary shapes and multifunctional seat shells. The Hal collection is composed of 15 different bases and various seat shells made of plywood or with a lightly upholstered leather cover. In addition, some chairs are available with a seat cover in different fabric colours.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work himself as "super normal" - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on the reinterpretation of the tried and tested and the further development of familiar solutions. He has been working with Vitra since 1989.
Material and format
The Hal chair consists of a polypropylene seat shell with upholstery and cover, and a four-legged metal base. The chair is 57 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 80.5 cm high. The seat height is 48 cm.

- Plano: 100% polyester
- Volo: 85% virgin wool, 15% polyamide
- Dumet: 46% cotton, 22% wool, 15% viscose, 9% polyamide, 8% linen
- Credo: 95% virgin wool, 5% polyamide
