His Austrian-Mexican roots led designer David Pompa to the region of Oaxaca, Mexico, where he worked intensively with Barro Negro ceramics - a style of ceramics that is rooted in the local handicraft tradition . With the Minimal pendant lamp, Pompa expresses precisely this encounter between him as a young designer and the artisan culture of his region.
Clear lines and a restrained look let the beauty of the Barro Negro ceramic come to the fore. Especially the shiny black colour, which is created by a special firing process, is characteristic for this style. In addition, the slight irregularities, created by the handcrafted process, contrast particularly well with the cool, smooth surface of the metal structure.
Installed in a group, Minimal looks particularly good above the dining table or the kitchen island and always provides the right atmosphere thanks to the practical dimming function .
