Glare-free: PH 5 pendant luminaire Louis Poulsen
As early as 1925/26, the famous designer Poul Henningsen designed a three-piece lampshade that was to make it famous. As with all his designs, Poul Henningsen's main concern was to create luminaires with glare-free light, so that they cast soft shadows and the light cone is perfectly aligned.
The PH 5 pendant luminaire is part of a series of 30 models with a three-part shade, three of which are outdoor luminaires.
Louis Poulsen - lighting design from Denmark
The Danish luminaire manufacturer was founded in 1874 and has since then been producing products that are dedicated to the duality of design and light. The luminaires are designed for various purposes and are therefore particularly functional. Louis Poulsen produces both indoor and outdoor luminaires in close cooperation with well-known designers such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and GamFratesi. The manufacturer has thus established itself as one of the most important global suppliers of lighting elements.
