Face Recognition: Abstrasso Mask Wall Decoration by Umasqu

Reminiscent of Picasso - the Abstrasso masks by Umasqu create a particularly modern and dramatic look with their colours and the unique combination of depths on the surface. They were inspired by the shapes and contours of cubism and Picasso, as already indicated.

They are the perfect decoration for modern offices, or homes. Some of the friendly faces can also be wonderfully arranged as wall decorations in children's rooms thanks to their artistic comic style.

Each mask is hand-painted and therefore unique.

Wall decorations from Umasqu

The modern wall decoration brand Umasqu was founded by Tzachi Nevo. He graduated in Industrial Design from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in 1990 and worked for 25 years in various positions in the advertising and weaving world. He finally returned to the world of design with his well-known images of human faces and animal heads. He finds his inspiration in various formal languages, such as Mid Century Modern, Steampunk and Cubism. The pieces he designs are not unique, but they are limited in quantity. For Nevo, the focus is on creating affordable art.

Material and format

The masks are made of a combination of different materials: veneer, MDF, Formica, Plexiglas, plastic and felt. They are coloured with high quality Molotow premium inks for the best UV and weather resistance. The mask comes with a hook on the back for hanging.

As the masks are also handmade, small variations are possible.
