Italian elegance: Grand Sofà 3 ½ - Seater by Vitra
Luxurious comfort paired with contemporary design - the Grand Sofà is the designer Antonio Citterio's interpretation of Italian flair in lightness and elegance. A geometrically clear form and generous elements create expansive seating and reclining platforms. Nevertheless, the overall package appears filigree and light, as the slender body covered with fabric rests on a thin metal frame.
A high-quality, soft filling ensures excellent seating comfort. By choosing different accessory cushions, the sofa can be extremely individually designed, so that it fits perfectly to your requirements. The small ledge on the sofa can be used as a shelf for books, magazines or accessories, because with the sofa tray, a leather-covered tray, a stable storage surface can be created.
Different fabrics and various colours round off the individual offer perfectly.
Antonio Citterio - Designer
Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, such as B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.
Material and size
The Grand Sofà consists of a metal frame and seat cushions made of polyurethane foam core and chamber cushions (filled with polyurethane foam rhombs, latex and goose feather down mixture). The 3.5-seater sofa is 210 cm wide, 78 cm deep and 63 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
Note: The designations "left" and "right" refer to the front view of the sofa. The back cushions are not included with the sofa and must be ordered separately.
