A flexible swivel chair with a high design factor - the Hal RE Studio Swivel Chair by Vitra is not only suitable for use in public spaces, but also in private ones. As a new interpretation of the classic shell chair, Jasper Morrison has equipped the popular Hal design with castors and thus made it suitable for office use.
Wherever a comfortable and practical seat is needed at short notice, Hal RE Studio by Vitra is at hand. The absence of armrests, however, does not diminish the comfort at all, because Hal Studio is made of a flexible plastic.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work as "super normal " - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he relies on the reinterpretation of the tried and tested and the further development of familiar solutions.
Thus, Morrison has raised his HAL collection to a contemporary level with the new RE versions . For the seat shells, now uses recycled plastic from household waste.
Material and format
The seat shell is made of recycled, dyed-through polypropylene and the 5-star base is made of die-cast aluminium. The chair is swivel and height adjustable. It also has a comfort depth suspension.
