The Station table clock was designed by Arne Jacobsen back in 1939 and has lost none of its aesthetic appeal since then. The classic clock face and appealing shape make the table clock a timeless object. Designer Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen was born in Copenhagen in 1902. Even as a child, he showed a pronounced talent for drawing. From this grew his desire to turn his talent into a profession and become a painter. His father, however, thought architect was a more suitable choice and so Jacobsen acquired the necessary expertise while travelling. An apprenticeship as a bricklayer in Germany and a series of study and drawing excursions to Italy formed the basis. If you want to categorise Arne Jacobsen, you can see him in the field of modern functionalism. His designs are characterised by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus.
Material and format
The table clock is made of tempered glass and plastic. It is 12 cm high and has a diameter of 11 cm. The clock is powered by 2x AA batteries. Please note that you should only use alkaline batteries type AA (Mignon).
