Sculptural power: Temno dining table from Walter Knoll

Architecture and sculpture merge with the Temno Table. A table inspired by classical and modern sculpture, made from sensual natural materials. For an interior that stages the table as the centre of the room. The vertical column supports the solid wood table top seemingly effortlessly. The lines of force that flow through the product become tangible.

About the designers

EOOS, that's Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann and Harald Gründl, named after one of the four horses that pull the chariot of the sun god Helios in Ovid's Metamorphoses. Their creative approach: "poetic analysis". A unique tool for exploring deep-seated images, rituals and myths as the basis for new designs. Through this culture of human rituals, EOOS scrutinise the meaning and function of design and provide their own answers.

About the manufacturer

Pappelina Logo

Stylish living classics

  • timeless design furniture with style
  • Founded in 1865
  • Showrooms all over the world

The company's history finds its origins in a "leather shop" in Stuttgart, opened in 1865 by the forefather of the Knoll dynasty, Wilhelm Knoll. In the same year, the seating furniture manufacturer demonstrates his craftsmanship as a purveyor to the court of the King of Württemberg. To set himself apart from the design of his father's company, Walter Knoll founded his own upholstered furniture factory in 1925, which has borne his name ever since
