Innovative: ID Chair ID Air office swivel chair by Vitra
With its one-piece plastic back, the ID Air office swivel chair from Vitra is an innovative design. It is manufactured in a patented process. The elaborately calculated perforation of the backrest simultaneously offers good freedom of movement and support where it is needed for healthy sitting.
In addition, the backrest convinces with its flexibility and the possibility of air circulation. The pleasantly soft seat cushion rounds off the comfort appropriately.
Antonio Citterio - Designer
Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked together with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, e.g. B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.
Material and format
The back is made of a perforated polypropylene plastic. The base is a five-star base in polyamide or die-cast aluminium. The gas spring is black.
The armrests are available in different versions, adjustable in height, width and depth.
The chair has a Flow-Motion mechanism and can be locked in an upright sitting position. The backrest counterforce and forward tilt can be individually adjusted.
