A carpet as unique as versatile: this is Bandas, designed by Patricia Urquiola for GAN.
Combination miracle
The Bandas rug by GAN has many special features. One of them is the exciting pattern designed by Spanish star designer Patricia Urquiola.
Unique in the carpet landscape is the system that stands behind the 240 x 250 cm carpet. The carpet is not made of one piece, but of four different parts.
These can be connected via Velcro - as you like - and thus form a diverse whole. By the way, the name comes from this system, because in Spanish Bandas means something like "ribbons".
Production
GAN makes their Bandas carpets by hand in India. There, the manufacturer provides fair wages and social working conditions, because GAN is part of the organization Good Weave.
