The String shelving system has become a popular classic for the living room, kitchen or hallway. And as it is with classics, they enjoy great popularity. So why not also offer a version for outside? That's where the String shelf is still missing! The galvanised metal ensures that the shelf defies all weathers and creates a beautifully robust and urban look as a side effect.
String Furniture - perfect balance
The perfect balance between functionality and form is the goal of String Furniture. This is exactly why the shelving systems of the manufacturer have developed into true design icons over the years and are regarded as an example of timeless Scandinavian design of the modern age. In 1949, the Swedish publishing house Bonniers announced a competition to develop an inexpensive, easy to ship and easy to assemble bookshelf. The couple Nils and Kajsa Strinning won the competition with their simple and minimalist shelving system that could be easily mounted on any wall. That was the birth of the String shelf. The design was further perfected in the following years to ensure that it remained not only aesthetic but also functional.
Material and format
The shelf is made of galvanised steel. It is 60 cm wide, 30 cm deep and 100 cm high. It is suitable for outdoor use.
