The company was founded in 1999 by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen. in 2012, they opened their own design studio, where designers and engineers work closely together. This means that the process can be followed from the initial idea to the finished end product. The finished series are produced in Europe and Asia. Normann Copenhagen's aim is to work particularly close to the market, as the products are sold worldwide .
