Designed with the aim of uniting form and function in perfect harmony, the table combines the iconic tubular steel aesthetics of Thonet with the purist signature of Jil Sander. The clean lines, reduced design and carefully selected colours give the B97 a modern clarity that looks stylish in any environment - whether as a solitaire, in a duo or flexibly stacked.

For Thonet, Jil Sander has dedicated herself to furniture design for the first time and reinterpreted the tubular steel classics S 64 and B 97 in collaboration with the Thonet team. Under the title SERIOUS, they appear in an elegant titanium look with high-gloss lacquered wood details and a choice of leather upholstery in four colours or dark wickerwork Dark Melange. The B 97 SERIOUS side table set perfectly complements the cantilever chair - inspired by Breuer's B 9, but with a functional update: the open construction on one side allows it to be pulled over a sofa or bed, or alternatively the tables can be pushed into each other to save space. The table tops are available in four lacquer colours or as an elegant Nero Marquina marble version.
