Ethno elegance: Klismos Bench Small by Knoll International
The shapely pieces of the Klismos collection by the Italian designer Antonio Citterio combine modern and sustainable design in an ethnic look. From the bench to the lounge chair to the stool , Klismos harmonises natural materials with a dynamic design to create an exciting design that catches everyone's eye .
The designer
The Italian architect and furniture designer Antonio Citterio studied industrial design but followed his passion for architecture and interior design already after his degree at the Politecnico di Milano. Together with his wife and architect Terry Dwan, he designed buildings in Europe and Japan in the 1980s and 1990s.
In 2000, Antonio Citterio founded the architecture and interior design firm "Antonio Citterio and Partners", which to date has developed numerous projects around the world and is now known as "ACPV Architects Antonio Cittterio Patricia Viel". In addition to his constant work as an architect, Antonio Citterio also remains true to his origins with the industrial design and collaborates with world-renowned companies. Some of his works are part of exhibitions at the MoMA in NYC and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris
Material and format
The small Klismos bench measures 91.5 cm in width, 48 cm in depth and 48.5 cm in height.
The frame is made of high-quality oak wood. Here you have the choice between the variant in natural oak and black oak. The seat has an interwoven structure of cotton cord, colour-coordinated with the colour of the structure.
For even more seating comfort, you can also order your Klismos bench with a seat cushion. Vegetable material was used for the filling, the cover is made of leather and available in black or nature - for a uniform or a contrasting look
