Round & Square: Kofi Table by Hay
A functional table with clear lines that can also be produced in an environmentally friendly way? I can do that! That's what Norwegian designer Martin Solem thought and designed the Kofi series for HAY.
The concept is simple: a flat wooden frame construction is topped by glass. But it is precisely this simplicity that defines the design of Kofi. Thanks to clear dimensions and proportions, the eye is drawn to the small details. The round legs and the angular tabletop provide a delicate contrast. The classic combination of glass and wood make the table look simple yet appealing.

The timeless piece of furniture is available in various sizes and versions. The numerous design combinations make the table suitable for a variety of spaces - from living rooms and hallways to receptions and meeting rooms. A modern and aesthetic ambience is guaranteed here!
Useful realism
Martin Solem is a young Norwegian designer from Copenhagen. He moved to Denmark where he worked for Rud. Rasmussen and studied design at The Royal Danish Design School. Since then he has been involved in projects with Capellini and Bernhardt Design and participated in exhibitions in Paris, London and Oslo.
He is currently pursuing solo design projects and works full-time at HAY as Head of Product Development in the furniture department. Solem is always looking for innovative approaches in his work and believes that good design should be both realistic and useful. He designed the Kofi table for HAY.
Hay - contemporary furniture from Denmark
Founded in 2002, the Danish manufacturer Hay pursues the goal of creating furniture that meets the needs of modern life and is accessible to the widest possible audience. In doing so, they like to reinterpret Danish furniture classics of the 50s and 60s.
Inspired by the stable structures of architecture and the dynamic turns of fashion, Hay combines the values of both industries and creates durable and timeless quality products that combine functionality and elegance.
Material and format
The table top of the Kofi is made of tempered glass. You can choose between the clear, coloured or ribbed version.
The frame is made of FSC-certified walnut or oak wood and has a water-based lacquer. For the oak version, you have the choice between clear lacquer, black and barn red. The walnut table is available with clear lacquer.
Kofi has the dimensions W 80 x D 80 x H 36 cm. In our online shop you will also find the following versions: 60 x 60 cm - 100 x 100 cm - 120 x 120 cm - 140 x 50 cm.
Note: The Kofi must be assembled by yourself using the enclosed materials. The solid wood frame is pre-assembled. The legs are screwed in using threaded inserts. In case of uneven floors, shims are included.
