Nature as a model: Leaf sun lounger by Dedon
Inspired by the shape of a curved leaf , the Leaf sun lo unger radiates a graceful and gentle atmosphere. The designer Frank Ligthart has deliberately taken up the natural shape of a leaf and oriented himself on its curves. This creates a slight hollow in the middle, into which the body fits almost perfectly. A cushion is also integrated at the head end of the lounger, inviting you to linger and dream.
Award-winning
In 2005 , the LEAF sun lounger received the"Award for outstanding Design", an internationally recognised design prize of the British Interior Design Association. The following year, the LEAF sun lounger won the"red dot design award" in the"product design" category, one of the most important design prizes in Europe.
Material and format
The frame is made of powder-coated aluminium and is woven with DEDON fibre. The DEDON fibre is not only extremely weatherproof and can withstand neither cold nor heat, sun, rain or snow, it is also exceptionally colourfast, structurally stable and insensitive to chlorine and salt water.
The sun lounger measures 86 cm in width, 254 cm in depth and between 30 and 42 cm in height due to its curved shape. The weight is 15 kg.
