Round piece: Little Tom two-layer stool by Richard Lampert

The Little Tom design stool by Richard Lampert is reminiscent of bagels or donuts thanks to its round shape with a hole in the middle and looks scrumptious, but is only meant for sitting on. The seat is two-layered, i.e. the seat itself is covered, on top of which lies a seat cushion in leather or fabric. The cushion is not removable. So if you are looking for a comfortable as well as likeable companion for your home, Little Tom is just the right chair for you. The extravagant, witty stool by Alexander Seifried is available in different colour and fabric variations. Good to know: The Tom family by Richard Lampert also includes a three-layer stool, bar stools and a small side table.

Learned from the bottom up: designer Alexander Seifried

Alexander Seifried knows exactly how to build furniture; at the age of 18, he graduated from his carpentry apprenticeship as 2nd guild winner and then completed an apprenticeship at 3F Design in Stuttgart, specialising in interior design and furniture design. Only two years later, he presented his first own furniture collection and made it into the renowned manufacturing companies Richard Lampert, Magazin, frauMaier and Elmar Flötotto.

Richard Lampert: Design made in Germany

In 1993, Richard Lampert founded his company in Stuttgart with the aim of industrially producing furniture and everyday objects that combine quality craftsmanship, design standards and sustainability. Richard Lampert's collections cover a wide range of areas, from outdoor furniture to living space and office furniture. Well-known designers such as Egon Eiermann and Herbert Hirche stand alongside unconventional and lesser-known international designers.
